Each year, the Junior League of Montgomery and HandsOn River Region join hands to co-sponsor the Volunteer of the Year Awards. The Junior League of Montgomery and HandsOn River Region are co-sponsoring the 48th annual Volunteer of the Year Awards and invite members of the community to nominate individuals and/or businesses in the River Region. This award gives agencies and individuals the opportunity to show appreciation and recognize those special volunteers who give so generously of their time, talent and energy to make our community a stronger and better place to live.

The categories for nominations are: Adult, Adult Group, Senior, Youth, Youth Group and Lifetime Achievement. The awards are presented during a special ceremony in April followed by a reception in honor of the award recipients and all of the nominees.
